Who’s Got Your Back: A Week of Reflection on the One-Year Pandemic Anniversary – Starting Mon. 03/29

ALL ARE WELCOME! Sessions are open to everyone, members and non-members too. RSVP HERE.

We’re hosting three lunchtime discussions (plus an afternoon socially-distanced happy hour) on our stipends, health insurance, and the rights that we have as grad workers.

We’ll also be sharing pandemic impact survey results and talking about all the ways unions can establish AND ensure stronger rights and protections for grad workers, in the pandemic and beyond!

Don’t forget to RSVP  for any or ALL of the sessions below:

Healthcare Hotline: What You Don’t Know and Need to Know about Healthcare at NU (Monday, March 29 at 12PM CT): Chat with other NUGW members and organizers about healthcare! We’ll be talking about the healthcare concerns graduate workers shared with us in our one-year COVID-19 graduate worker impact survey, and ways in which NU-SHIP could be improved.

So You Think Your Stipend Is Competitive? (Wednesday, March 31 at 12 PM CT): NUGW members and organizers will be discussing wages and funding! We’ll be talking about why we deserve and can win more funding AND we’ll be sharing the financial concerns graduate workers shared with us in our one-year COVID-19 graduate worker impact survey.

There’s Strength – And a Safe Workplace – In Numbers! (Friday, April 2 at 12 PM CT): Every worker has the right to a workplace free from harassment, unreasonable workloads, and unnecessary pressure from their supervisors. We’ll discuss all the ways unions can establish AND ensure stronger protections for grad workers, during the pandemic and beyond!

NUGW Info Session/Happy Hour (Friday, April 2 at 5PM): In-person, socially-distanced, hang out and chat about unionization with other NUGW members and organizers.
